WIND
WIND VIDEOS
By video recording trees in the wind a hidden world is revealed. The trees are filmed in slow motion which translates their movements into a visual language we can relate to. In slow motion they seem to beckon and communicate with us and each other. The trees invite us to contemplate and appreciate. Friendly and non-threatening in a world of their own forever, a world that is still beyond our understanding. They can be seen as a symbol of all nature - their movements going on and on as they ride the earth.
These works reference movements such as environmental art and land art. They follow on the paths of artists such as Walter De Maria, Andy Goldworthy, Ana Mendieta and Richard Long.
